It's a rainy day in Tampere. On days like this I find my bed to be very inviting indeed. My mom gave her thirty-year-old sofa to me some time ago. I found the sofa suits my aching back perfectly.
Rainy day. I wish to run away with a mermaid. Only a dream. I go out to vent my self running around the lake.
Day in, day out it was raining. Then it went it away, to wet the Brits I suppose. We took our towels and rode to the beach at Pyynikki. I'm fond of my idle days.
At nine pm the lake is calm and silent. He wants to go fishing. I take my rod and my quality Swedish reel and stroll quietly through the city tree reserve. There we see three hares, big and calm like kangaroos from down under. He chases them his toy gun firing. The hares barely notices him and slowly disappear in the long hay. We are not alone to fish by the lake. There are two others where I teach him how to use the reel. We return as always, empty handed.

As the title implies it's mothers' day in Finland. I called Mom to congratulate. Then I took my bike out went to Pyynikki. A local sports club organizes a bike race there on mothers' day since 1981. The road climbs up from the disaffected fabrics factory to the observation tower - a very steep hill. A good spot to take some pictures. There were not that many spectators - some tens. Finland is not a cycling country - alas.
Strolling by the lake with my son today it was +22 c and the young master decided to go shirtless - which up here in Tampere doesn't happen that often.
When you go to sauna and open the door, warm air hits you gently and envelops you. The same way came summer over Tampere.
This season's first 100 km ride took me to Kangasala and Valkeakoski. A nice quiet road. Warm breeze from SSE. I did not set any speed goal to attain. I only kept an eye on pulsemeter, tried to keep it between 115 - 120. Took a photo on the old village road of Lempäälä.
